Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. She was raised listening to traditional and old boleros, along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos. She also loves operas as well as any theatrical performance. Her mother taught her to sing, however she began more intensive singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. Following her move to America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002, she made her way to southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in classical Latin American music at private performances. The love she has for the performing arts, music, as well as the arts keeps active in community projects both as an artist and educator. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially in the younger generations, for keeping this music in the present.
