Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. As a young girl of just five when she left for Oxfordshire and enrolled in her first Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma realized she was going to become an actor and for a number of years she trained at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned singing dancing and acting. By the time she turned 10 years old, Emma took part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the film version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was cast in the year 1999. Emma was discovered by agent through their Oxford teacher.
